Zilica to exhibit at Security Essen - 10th - 13th October 2006

Essen is one of the largest European CCTV shows and is held every 2 years in Essen Germany. This year Zilica with two of its partners Alogics and Mobilygen will be launching new integrated products and showing the latest video technology.

Alogics will launch 2 chips:-

1. The AMVIC multi codec single chip supports 4 seperate encoders or decoders and supports JPEG MJPEG and an MPEG4 like codec with improved compression.

2. The worlds first MPEG4 system on chip single chip Digital Video Recorder IC. One chip based on an ARM9 with multiple MPEG4 codecs in hardware plus IDE controllers and ethernet plus all the usual display/ mux features found in DVRs today. Just add SDRAM and hard disk and you have a 4 channel DVR. Add the AM7416 and you have a 16 channel DVR

Mobilygen will show their latest H264 chip working, a full duplex codec for full resolution video and audio encode decode applications. This 9mm x 9mm ultra small chip draws less than 200mW and is ideal for IP cameras, servers and multi codec DVR designs. IP camera, DVR and PCI reference designs will all be available this year and some of these will be at the show.

OPT have launched the worlds smallest 360 degree solid state PTZ camera based on a 3M pixel sensor. Come and see this 35mm cubed camera work on our stand, amazing features such as 4 quad 90 degree views, full plan view, two 180 degree views, auto pan / tour and much more.

Intimes MPEG4 codec will be available which is based on MPEG4 ASP L5 and can encode or decode, again a small low power single chip solution.

Chipwrights will show their latest video processor/ DSP the CW5521. This single low power DSP can encode or decode multiple video formats like JPEG MPEG4 H264 (later this year) as well as support an operating system. We will demonstrate the CW5521 as both a video server and a video reciever to show a streaming video end to end application. These two applications are available as a full reference design with all codec source code and development system.

A-Linking will show their two ultra small video server modules. MJPEG and MPEG4 versions allow any analogue camera to be converted to an IP version by adding the module. The modules support a web server plus RTP video server and are active X controlled from a web browser. These are $120 solutions ready to go or available for full customisation.

First single chip H264 / AVC full duplex codec available in Europe

Mobilygen appoints Zilica to promote their H264 video codec technology in Europe

MG1264 is a single low power chip offering full duplex encode and decode of video and audio into the new H264 / AVC (advanced video codec) standard. Full D1 resolution and full frame rate is supported in both PAL and NTSC standards as well as lower resolutions and frame rates.
